About Laura Lantz Friedman

As CEO and founder of First & Willow, Laura provides a fresh take on clients’ personal style and taste, infusing homes with a relaxed yet functional environment. From spaces that feel enveloping, restful, and tranquil to vibrant, lively, and colorful. Laura’s designs are reflective of her clients’ lives & unique personalities.

Laura is a firm believer that style should not reflect trends, but who we are as individuals. She expertly pairs beautiful furnishings and accessories with clients’ existing family heirlooms, mementos from travels, or a recently acquired work of art to bring a distinct aesthetic to life.

Laura and her husband Marc currently live in Sarasota, Florida. Laura enjoys spending time with her family, discovering interesting design treasures, crafting distinctive home accessories, watching sunsets on the gulf beaches, and riding her bike along the Legacy Trail.

Laura Lantz Friedman has over 29 years of spacial planning and design experience within residential and corporate environments. She’s consulted with many clients over the years on how best to utilize space and bring creative and innovative solutions to fruition.

Over 15 of those years, Laura designed office spaces for a globally recognized advertising agency in Richmond, VA, NYC, and London.

Laura’s interior styling and decorating career began as an entrepreneur designing, crafting, and installing custom window treatments for clients throughout Richmond, VA.
